tungsten carbide sheet (also known as tungsten steel or WC) is a type of tungsten alloy that is commonly used in the production of many different types of products. It is primarily made from tungsten and carbon, but can also be combined with other metals like nickel and cobalt in order to improve its performance.

Hardness, Wear Resistance & Chemical Stability

Tungsten Carbide is an extremely hard, dense, and tough material that measures up to diamonds on the Mohs Hardness Scale. This makes it a great choice for industrial tools and wear parts that are exposed to high levels of pressure and stress.

Besides its extreme hardness, tungsten carbide has impressive resistance to heat and corrosion. This enables it to be used in many applications that require high levels of precision and durability, including drills, saws, and cutting tools.

It is a good choice for making punch dies and stamping dies, as well as other wear-resistance parts. It is suitable for machining of refractory alloys, stainless steel and high manganese steel, and has good bending strength.

Sintered tungsten carbide tools are often manufactured from the tungsten carbide phase, which can tolerate higher temperatures than typical high-speed steel tools. These tools are particularly resistant to abrasion and can be used for drilling or cutting into hard materials, or when steel tools would quickly wear out.

Tungsten carbide can also be pressed into various shapes, which makes it a great choice for custom sanding and shaping applications. It can be mounted to a T-bar or sanding block, and it can also be rolled over with double-sided tape as a flatbed sanding tool. It can also be bent into any shape and cut with tin snips or shears, making it a versatile addition to your sanding arsenal.
